About the club

When and Where do Ponteland Archers shoot?
The home of Ponteland Archers is Ponteland Leisure Centre for both indoor and outdoor seasons. During the outdoor season (Spring/Summer)  we shoot three times a week. Sunday is the club designated Target Day where we shoot a GNAS recognized round. The field is also available on Tuesday evening for coaching and practice, and Thursday evening for practice rounds. During the winter we shoot on Sundays in the Leisure Centre Hall.

If I wish to join the club, how much will it cost me?

2015-2016 Club Fees

Club Fees (monthly)

DNAA & NCAA (annual)

Archery GB (annual)

In the winter we shoot indoors for 20+ sessions and have to pay to hire the hall which is an extra cost.  For 2015-2016 the cost will be £70.00 for seniors and £35.00 for juniors.

Does the club hold any competitions during the year?
We usually run three competitions during the year. These are the Ponteland Vegas held during January as part of the indoor season.   In June there is a special tournament which takes place  in the beautiful surroundings of Belsay Castle. This competition is for longbows only and has been a two day competition for the last few years, with places much sought after.  The Griffin Memorial competition is held in August.

Have-a-go at archery

At Belsay we usually hold a Have-a-go at archery where we introduce as many people as possible to the delights of archery and occasionally we put on other have-a-go or taster sessions.
